The James H. Cole home for funerals is celebrating its centennial this year, making it Detroit’s oldest black-owned funeral home. James H. Cole III founded the business in Detroit’s black bottom neighborhood in 1919. Today, it remains a family-owned business run by the third and fourth generations. Episode 4724/Segment 1
