Got some Willie fans out there tonight?
[cheering] We love Willie Nelson for a whole bunch of reasons.
[laughter] We toured a lot with Willie over the years, and from what people tell us, we had a really good time.
[laughter] But Willie got together with Neil Young and John Mellencamp and some other fine folks a few years back, back in 1985, actually, and started a thing called Farm Aid.
[cheering] All about the American family farmer.
And we were mighty proud to play that first fundraiser.
We played a bunch of them, but that, that first fundraiser in 1985 in Champaign, Illinois, great lineup of folks including, Bob Dylan was there, and, uh, Neil Young, of course, Johnny, you know.
[cheering] Uh, and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.
That was so good.
It was.
[applause and cheering] Really inspiring, really inspiring, but Jimmie, when we got home, Jimmie was particularly moved by that experience, wrote this tune.
