(lively music) - Red Butte Garden's annual Spring Plant Sale and Fundraiser is a great way to welcome this year's planting season and offer support to the garden.

And here with all the details, it's Associate Director of Horticulture, Crystal Kim.

Hi Crystal, welcome.

- Thanks, Mary.

- So your two day events coming up, let's talk about the wide array of plants and everything else you'll have.

- We have so many plants.

We have the largest selection of heirloom vegetables and native and modernized plants in one location in addition to anything else someone might want for their garden.

- Oh, wow, and that water wise we really need, don't we, and the vegetables.

So I know you've got shrubs, you've got vines, you've got bushes, you've got everything anyone could want.

And so do people need to get there early by good selection?

- I think they can get there whenever they can.

Earlier is better, but we'll have something for everyone.

- [Mary] Okay, great, and you'll also have your friendly staff on hand to answer our questions.

- We will, we love to talk about plants at the plant sale, and we're really excited to encourage new gardeners to come on Saturday and hang out with other plant lovers, get to know some plants, maybe find your new favorite plant, ask questions, get the answer that you need to make a wonderful garden at home.

- That's great, and I know you're gonna have a coffee cart and the music you've put together, especially curated.

- Yeah, that's gonna be really fun to have that going in the background.

- Yeah, yeah, and so it's free, right?

- Saturday is free entry to anyone who wants to come and join us at the plant sale.

- Okay, and then a special members event is Friday.

- That's right.

- So we can get everything we need for our planting season.

And I'm awfully glad you came on to share everything with us.

- Thanks.
