CC ’73: Revisiting the 1973 Louisiana Constitutional Convention
On Jan. 5, 1973, 132 men and women gathered in Baton Rouge to begin the work of rewriting Louisiana's antiquated 1921 constitution. They would complete their work a year later on Jan. 16, 1974. They presented the voters with the constitution we now have today. Forty years later, we feature a conversation with several of the leaders and delegates of that constitutional convention.
